1. Re-stocking / Handling Fees

Contrary to the 10% mentioned in your prompt, the official Terms of Trade state a 15% handling fee:

  • 15% Handling Fee: This is charged for any returned parts that were correctly supplied by the store.

  • Original Condition: Parts must be returned in their original condition within 14 days of delivery.

  • Exclusions: Specially procured parts are not returnable at all.

2. Shipping Fees

The policy confirms that shipping costs are generally not refundable for standard returns:

  • Non-Refundable: Shipping fees are charged based on destination and weight. While the policy states a “full refund” for new/unopened items, the Terms of Trade clarify that they do not have to provide a refund for “change of mind” purchases.

  • Return Shipping: The customer is typically responsible for the cost of transit when returning a correctly supplied item.

3. Return Conditions

  • Timeframe: You have 14 days to return most new, unopened items.

  • Documentation: You must provide the invoice number and a reason for the return.

  • Faulty Goods: If the item is faulty, the store will meet its obligations under New Zealand Consumer Law to provide a remedy (which may include a refund of shipping/handling costs).
